Seafair Milk Carton Derby @ Green Lake

Start saving your milk cartons because the annual Seafair Milk Carton Derby is approaching! Since 1972, this quirky celebration of creativity and boatmanship features nearly 100 colorful milk carton boats of all shapes and design. Children, adults, families and businesses are all invited to build milk carton watercraft and compete on the waters of Green Lake for prizes and bragging rights. 

You don’t have to be a sailor to have fun at this event! Participants and spectators can visit interactive exhibit booths, satisfy hunger with food vendors, meet Seafair personalities and more! Whether you’re participating in the races or cheering from the shoreline, the Lucerne Seafair Milk Carton Derby Presented by Safeway/Albertsons is your chance for a full day of summer fun.

West Seattle Grand Parade @ West Seattle

The West Seattle Grand Parade, occurring annually since 1935, is hosted by the West Seattle Rotary Service Foundation and is one of the oldest and most beloved community events in the Seattle area. The West Seattle Grand Parade includes participants from the Hi-Yu royalty and celebrates the diverse community and participants of the greater Seattle area.  It is a proud member of the Seafair family of events and includes all of the pirates, clowns, marching bands, drill teams, floats, pageantry and excitement that leads up to the Seafair Torchlight Parade the following weekend.

The 58th annual Waterland Festival is a three-day event with fun for all ages, featuring the Parade, Carnival, Classic Car Show, Wooden Boat Show, a 5k Fun Run and activities throughout the community including Live Music and a Beer and Wine Garden. Come out and see your Seattle Seafair Pirates! Just follow the sound of scraping swords and booming cannons!

Chinatown Seafair Parade @ International District

This traditional Seafair Parade is the highlight of the summer celebration that allow the community to show case it’s ethnic diversity and colorful culture to the City of Seattle. Along with the marching bands, your Seattle Seafair Pirates, clowns, floats, this parade features the 100 foot dragon and many more lions dancing along the route is one of the favorite units the audience enjoy. This parade is a favorite of a great many of the pirates! Come find out why!

A Greenwood summertime tradition, the annual Greenwood Seafair Parade presented by Fred Meyer is the oldest neighborhood Seafair parade in the region.

Thousands of people line the route to watch the over 100 entrants that include bands, drill teams, floats, pirates and more.

Word around town is that your Seattle Seafair Pirates will be stopping at Baranof’s Bar and Grill after the parade! If you’re already down there why not continue the fun and check it out?! See you there!

Each year on one magical summer night, thousands of spectators gather to watch as more than 100 parade units march, float and dance in celebration of Seattle. Now in its 68th year, the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade offers something for everyone. Whether you’re a child, child-at-heart or somewhere in between, we guarantee memories of entertainment to last a lifetime.

You don’t have to wait for the parade to start to have fun with Seafair! Torchlight FanFest has everything you need to get excited for our iconic parade. Guests can explore exhibit booths and food vendors while previewing the parade units and floats lined up along Mercer Street. This is your chance to get up close and personal with the Blue Angels balloon, Albert Lee hydroplane and more.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade @ Downtown Seattle

Come see your Seattle Seafair Pirates at their first big event to kick off their year! At 12:30 pm, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal and the Honorary Parade Grand Marshals lead Seattle’s 45th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade up 4th Avenue, traveling north from Jefferson to the reviewing stand at Westlake Park. From there participants are invited to travel for free via the Monorail to the Seattle Center for closing ceremonies at the Irish Festival in the Armory at 2:30 pm.
